Our Bookshelf

Whenever we enter a new friend’s home, we curiously look over their bookshelves. What people read is interesting and illuminating. Finding a beloved book on our friend’s shelf causes a sense of relief; it reveals a kindred spirit. An unfamiliar title on the shelf might open new worlds for discovery. Because the bookshelf is such an important meeting place for friends to start and deepen conversation, we share our bookshelves with you. The WOS team reflects a wide variety of interests related to culture-making. We cover topics ranging from politics & race to the story told by refrigerators. Sharing what we read is an invitation into conversation and friendship. Each collection listed below represents our interests and is meant to introduce you to both familiar voices and new works. Peruse the collections shared below as welcomed friends of the WOS community.
